• As Timi Of Ede , Olowu Kuta, Aragbiji, others receive award The Osun State Polytechnic Iree Alumni Association (OSPAA) said it is ready to unveil a multi-million naira Alumni Amphitheatre, and new school gate for Osun State Polytechnic. This was disclosed by its National President, Alhaji Yakub Akeem Adebayo, during a press conference held on the campus of Ospoly on Tuesday as part of activities marking OSPAA 31st anniversary. Adebayo described the anniversary as a celebration of resilience, unity, and sustained progress, noted that over the past three decades, the Association has evolved from a small network of graduates into a dynamic body connecting professionals, innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders in various sectors within and outside Nigeria. He commended Ospoly which was established in 1991 for its continued role in shaping Nigeria’s technical and vocational landscape. He applauded the institution’s management team led by Comrade Kehinde Alabi, and the Governing Council chaired by Hon. Diran Ayanbeku, for their dedication to strengthening the institution’s mandate just as he reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to advancing the institution and strengthening alumni collaboration across the country. Reeling out some major achievements of OSPAA under his leadership, Alhaji Adebayo, said the association was moved out from being a smaller group operated by few individuals to global association which will allow all Alumni at home and abroad to contribute their quota. According to Alhaji Adebayo, “A major highlight of this year’s celebration is the unveiling of the multi-million-naira 1,500-capacity Alumni Amphitheatre and the new School Gate Project-a bold symbol of our collective commitment to supporting infrastructure and enhancing the learning environment at our alma mater. “As we celebrate 31 years of shared history and collective achievements, we also recommit ourselves to shaping the future of technical and vocational education in Nigeria. “OSPAA will continue to stand as a strong pillar for Osun State Polytechnic, Iree-supporting academic advancement, infrastructural development, mentorship, and opportunities for students and alumni alike. “I encourage all alumni, friends, partners, and well-wishers to join us in this celebration. Your presence, participation, and support serve as inspiration as we continue to build an Association rooted in service, unity, and excellence” he said. Rector of Ospoly, Comrade Kehinde Alabi, while addressing members of OSPAA at his office commended the association’s leadership for the successes it has recorded in maintaining the good image of the school. Rector Alabi assured OSPAA of the institution management’s commitment of continued partnership and support to the association in advancing it’s programs for the development of the school. He urged all alumni of Ospoly to see the act of giving back to their institution as a way of appreciation through the association.
